Lamy 2000 M with Stainless Steel Finish (2012)

Three new members are added to the Lamy 2000 family, they are the Lamy 2000 fountain pen, ballpoint pen and rollerball pen with brushed stainless steel finish.

the package is similar to the Edition 2000 version, containing a black paper box with magnetic fastening, a small booklet, a polishing cloth and a guarantee card for the 14k gold nib.

which one is the rollerball? the one with a dot on the cap top.





comparing the Lamy 2000 M (2012) with the Lamy Edition 2000, the engravings on the cap and the section are different. the fountain pen is 54.0 gram with cap, it is 10.8 gram heavier than the Edition 2000 fountain pen.


the section of Lamy 2000 M (2012) fountain pen is made of solid stainless steel (section: 7.9 gram, nib unit: 0.9 gram), the barrel (25.4 gram) is covered with stainless steel.


the clutching ring is attached to the pen barrel, not on the section as for other Lamy 2000 fountain pens. when the barrel is screwed into the section, it needs to be aligned with the nib!


comparing the Lamy 2000 M (2012) ballpen and the Edition 2000 one,
the pushing button on the Edition 2000 ballpen is brushed finish.


actually, the front part and and clutching mechanism also changed,
